The icon ′Softening Evil Hearts′ is one of the few where the Mother of God is depicted alone, without Jesus Christ or the saints.
It is also called the ′Simeon prophecy′.
As the holy Evangelist Luke narrates, “the righteous elder Simeon was foretold by the Holy Spirit that he would not feel death until he saw Jesus Christ” (Luke 2.26).
The icon was made on a woodworking machine.

Wood - pear (cherry, beech, hornbeam)
