Wooden Thor and Jörmungandr

The meeting took place when Thor went fishing with the giant Gimir, he prepared a strong fishing line and a large hook, on which he planted a bull′s head - and Jörmungandr fell for the bait. Feeling how the hook dug into the sky, Midgardsorm rushed so that Thor′s fists hit the side of the boat. Thor prepared for a long struggle, but the bottom of the boat could not stand it and broke through. Then Thor put his feet right on the seabed and dragged the World Serpent to the very board. As and the World Serpent looked at each other with hatred, and poison dripped from the mouth of Jörmungandr. Thor was about to kill the Serpent with his hammer, but Gimir cut the line that stretched over the side of the boat, and the Serpent plunged into the sea. Thor launched Mjollnir after the Serpent and, they say, even crushed his head. But still, the Serpent is still alive and lies at the bottom of the sea.
