Motanka doll, a traditional Ukrainian amulet. Made based on the national dolls of the Middle Transnistria region. The art of motanak has a long tradition in our Nenets Ukraine. The Ukrainian doll has always been considered an important element of our traditional folk culture! The dolls of the Middle Transnistria region have a special method of production and a complex decorative palette. Such a doll was made by tying and twisting knots without a needle and scissors, which is why it is called a knotted doll. The dolls of the Central Dnieper region have the most ceremonial appearance. They are bright, colorful and have a pagan, slightly mysterious look.
