Slavic goddess Makosh

Makosh is one of the ancient Slavic goddesses whose veneration was widespread among various Slavic tribes. Her role and character could manifest in different regions, but in general Makosh is venerated as a mother goddess, guardian of childbearing, in this hypostasis appearing as the guardian of kin and domesticity.
