Perun is the god of thunder and lightning, the birth of Perun was marked by a powerful earthquake, he was born in bright Iria by the goddess Lada. Hardened by fire, in Svarog Kuzna, he received from his father Svarog a thunder club and a fire-maned horse, an assistant in feats of arms. Perun is the heavenly patron of all warriors fighting for their land. He was usually depicted as a warrior who is always ready for battle.
