Egyptian goddess Isis

Isis is one of the main goddesses of ancient Egyptian mythology, symbolizing femininity, motherhood and magical powers. She was the consort of Osiris, god of the underworld and fertility, and mother of Horus, god of heaven and royalty.
Isis was associated with wisdom, healing, protection, and the afterlife, for she was the one who helped Osiris resurrect after his death.
In the myths, Isis is depicted as a goddess with immense magical powers. After Seth, the god of destruction, killed Osiris, she used her magic to reassemble his torn body to bring him back to life and conceived a son from him, Horus. Horus, later, became the personification of victory over chaos and evil, inheriting the throne of Egypt.
The cult of Isis spread far beyond Egypt, especially in the Hellenistic era, and she was honored even in the Roman Empire, where she was considered the patroness of sailors and protector in times of need.
