Hindu Goddess Kali

Kali is one of the most powerful and famous goddesses in Hindu mythology. She symbolizes both destruction and creation, transformation and rebirth. In Hinduism, Kali is associated with the destruction of ignorance, liberation of the soul from material shackles and victory over the forces of evil.
Kali is depicted in a frightening and terrifying way to emphasize her association with the destructive aspects of the universe. She is often depicted with dark or blue skin, waving hair, bulging eyes and a tongue sticking out. She wears a necklace of skulls around her neck and a garland of hands on her belt.
