Egyptian goddess Sekhmet

Sekhmet is an ancient Egyptian goddess of war, destruction, disease, and simultaneously, healing. Her name translates as ′The Powerful One,′ emphasizing her connection to rage, power, and strength. Sekhmet was typically depicted as a woman with the head of a lioness, symbolizing her ferocity and destructive force. The lioness, being one of the strongest and most dangerous predators, was associated with war and protection.
The cult of Sekhmet was widespread in Ancient Egypt, especially in Memphis, where she was revered as the wife of Ptah, the god of creation and craftsmanship, and the mother of Nefertum, the god of perfumes and flowers.
